例如：①The boy loved that girl.

②The boy loved by that girl likes singing.

在①中，loved是男孩自己主动发出的动作，所以直接直译翻译就行。但是在②中，the boy 和love 是被动关系，因后面出现bysb，所以将其倒译翻译，“被那个女孩爱着的男孩”。V-ed短语在英语中可代表动词的过去式，也可代表动词的过去分词，例如finish-finished-finished。那么究竟什么时候我们需要将其进行调整语序翻译呢，也即倒译。在句子中如果出现N+V-ed短语，我们需要识别N和V是否为被动关系，如果为被动关系，直接将V-ed短语前置倒着翻译到名词前面，在句中作后置定语;如果N和V存在主动关系，则按照顺序直接翻译即可。

例1：the charge made by some of his critics

翻译：他的一些批评家所作的控告

例2：the photographs of the gardens created by the homeless

翻译：尤无家可归的人所创造的花园的照片

例3：a cross-cultural perspective brought to the analysis of cultures

翻译：分析文化所带来的跨文化视角

例4：the possibilities contained in knowing that everything is up to us

翻译：了解一切事物取决于我们所包含的可能性

【修饰成分】

双破折号中-which also include water pollution and greenhouse gasemissions-为插入语，是定语从句，识别：n+which从句，which在从句中做主语或宾语，即which引导定语从句。在此句中which在从句中做主语，所以引导定语从句，修饰前面environmentalproblems。

理解句子时插入语可先不看，那句子就简化为And that growing trash pile is just one of the clothingindustry’s array of environmental problems fueled in part by the rise of thecheap, disposable clothing called “fast fashion” .

主干后面的fueled in part by the rise of the cheap, disposable clothing called“fast fashion”是后置定语，识别：n+v-ed过去分词短语，若n和v存在被动关系，则n后面v-ed分词短语做定语。在本句话中n是problems和动词fuel 存在被动关系，加剧了问题，那么问题是被加剧化了，所以fueled in part by the rise of the cheap,disposable clothing called “fast fashion”是后置定语，修饰environmental problems。
