承接上文，继续看2013年考研阅读第三篇中的一句话
science and technology would cure all the ills of humanity, leading to lives of fulfillment and opportunity for all.

1.语法：按照顺序来读就好，
这里的逗号后面加动词ing形式，【..., leading...】常见语法规则，加ing表示动词的主动性
在写作的时候，我们要写一个人先后做了两件事a和b，可以模仿这里来写，比如
人+事情a, v-ing 事情b

2.语言点
①cure
作动词是治愈，=heal，
常用搭配为cure sb of sth
此外，cure还有“解决问题”之义






cure unemployment 解决失业问题
作名词是【治疗疾病的药物，疗法】，
由此引申为【解决问题的对策】
惯用搭配the cure for sth

②ill
除了我们熟悉的“疾病”这个意思，
还可以表示【问题，弊端】
(a problem or harmful thing; an illness)
所以和ill有关的cure，有【对策】这个含义也就不难理解了

social / economic ills 社会 / 经济弊病

the ills of the modern world 现代世界的弊端


③fulfillment? ? 不可数名词，
①满足感
(the feeling of being happy and satisfied with your life because you are doing interesting, useful, or important things)
通过英文解释，可以

知道这种满足感是对生活的【满足感】，或者是【成就感】












②实现，履行，执行
这个义项来自其动词 fulfil
因为fulfill表示【完成、履行】的意思


















a. fulfilled “感到满足的，觉得满意的”
(feeling happy and satisfied that you are doing sth useful with your life)

he doesn't feel fulfilled in his present job.

目前的工作未能让他感到满足。


④lead to lives of fulfillment ? 带来生活的满足感

⑤opportunity for all ? 人人都有机会，all是指all the people，表示所有人
