hi! 大家好哇！看完句子后记得思考：句子中一共几句话？它们之间都是什么关系？请看：




1. 单词和词组

2. 拆分句子

标点符号：, . ! : — 等

连接词：and, but, or, that, which......

a.标点符号拆分：

“,”前后都是完整的句子，可以拆分。

介词短语用“[ ]”包起来。

c.连接词拆分：

开头“the cases the court overturned said…”中，出现了“主-主-谓-谓”的形式，所以中间的“主-谓”应该是一个引导词省略了的从句。

#引导词的省略

宾语从句；

定语从句：引导词指代的先行词在从句中作宾语/表语成分。

此处从句中缺少宾语，故是定语从句，可以拆分。

在“the cases … said that…”中，引导词“that”在动词“said”后，故其引导的从句是宾语从句（到结尾），可以拆分。

在上面的宾语从句中“if”引导的是条件状语从句（到“,”前）。

“a state where…”中，引导词“where”引导的从句是对“a state”的解释说明，故此处是定语从句，可以拆分。

3. 分析句子

经过上面的拆分后，可以得到句子的主干：

i. 主句：

"the cases … said that … "

主句含定语从句：

"the cases the court overturned"

ii. 宾语从句中：

条件状语从句中：

"if a business was shipping a customer's purchase to a state"

定语从句：

"where the business didn't have a physical presence such as a warehouse or office"

"the business didn't have to collect sales tax for the state."

2. "have to" v. 不得不；必须

3. "collect (sth) (for sth)" v. 募集，募捐

they collect blood samples for analysis at a national laboratory.

他们采集血样供一个国家实验室进行分析。
