the internet?has become increasingly prevalent in the recent years. as is subtly illustrated in the picture above, there is a?keyboard of a computer and a mouse which is connected with our beautiful blue planet.



like tv, the internet?benefits people hugely. with?the internet, the home will become a library, a school, an office and even an entertainment center. all transactions, from banking to shopping, can?be performed online?and all information, from train schedules to discount-price goods, will be available by pressing a key.?in addition to providing us?with?a great many services,?with the internet, the computer enables?us to communicate directly with people all over the world and with information and resources worldwide. however,?despite the increase in efficiency and convenience generated by?the internet,?the changes it brings could lead to potentially adverse consequences. for instance,?as nearly all activities could be conducted at?home, we could all become hermit-like, never feeling any need to leave the house.?this would be?especially unfortunate?for?our children?for they?become so addicted to?the internet?that they might never be exposed to social interaction.



unquestionably, the challenge of?the internet?means we all should consider how we can control it, so that it won’t control us.
