at the first sight of this picture, we may be shocked by the reality that the youngster feels hesitant to raise a fallen elderly person. however, it is evident that the very young man is being tortured by his conscience and the instinct to evade the harm probably brought by his choice.

from the thought-provoking drawing, it can be inferred that the conflict between our moral code and human nature to prioritize our own interest has grown increasingly ferocious. as is apparently demonstrated in the cartoon, the conscience encourages the young to help the elderly in urgent need. however, with the world pervaded by the news that kind-hearted folks get blackmailed after doing so, it is quite comprehensible if they feel intimidated by the seemingly foreseeable consequence. nevertheless, as the proverb goes, justice prevails over the evil and our conscience must defeat our inherent quality. the elderly used to make notable contributions to the whole country, which obliges the young to extend a helping hand when demanded.

although it is imperative to raise the seniors, some measures should be exerted by both the government and individuals. the government is supposed to set up provisions to preclude the blackmail from recurring. and as for individual, it would be better to have witnesses around to avoid dilemmas depicted in the cartoon. and the combined efforts will undoubtedly usher in a more harmonious society.
